Can I wear these for the rest of my life?

I have had Amy Butler's In Stitches book for almost a year now, and I have made a few things out of it so far. I have always loved the lounge pants, but I just have never made them. Something else always jumps to the top of my list.
So, Saturday night, Frank was was playing pool in our basement with a friend, I was in my glory bidding on EBay, reading blogs, and eating nachos.
Leslie had made these pants and said it was a really easy project, and so...

they jumped to the top of my list. I love these pants, and yes they were easy. In less thank two hours I had a new favorite pair of pants.
Just to let you know though, in the instructions, she tells you to sew the crotch twice. Just do it. Please.
I didn't, and even though the pants are nice and roomy, as soon as I sat down, got all snugly with my knitting, feeling very proud of myself..... splitsville. Yeah. Sew it up twice ladies.

Ah, yes, now back to lounging.....

Ah, those are great! I must make a pair, as my favorite PJ pants have a HUGE hole in the knee.

Look how NORMAL SIZED yours look! Awesome cute, girl - good job.

Mine came out bizarre in so many ways. The most frightening of which was the hugeness. HUGE I TELL YOU.

Either way, I love yours :)

Oh, I really love them! I tried to make those pants, but apparently I "got much back" and Amy didn't account for that ;)

Maybe I'll try again after seeing yours ;)

Katie, quick question. How many yards did you use for these fab pants. I am 5'3- I know you must be taller than me, everyone always is ; ). I don't want to over order fabric.

I love these pants! I have the Amy Butler book and wanted to make them too! Great!

New to your blog and love it!

Katie, sorry for all the comments!

I went to Barnes&Noble and bought the book. So, no need to answer my question. I was going to use an old pj bottom pattern- I am so not good with patterns. The book seems easier to follow.

Again, love the pants on you!

I have three vintage sheets just waiting for me to make into those. Now, I have to get busy and make them. (I bought the book just for that pattern.) They really do look great. Thanks for sharing. Love the pedicure.
